I’m sorry to hear about your experiences. I’ll say it first. What was going on at your company was NOT “Product Management”. It may have been called that, but it wasn’t. It’d be like having someone randomly call people to buy your product and call it “Sales”. Sadly, as you experienced, that first company was not an isolated case. Product Management should focus on overall product success, not being a “Jira-lemming” focusing on closing tickets.
