I don't agree with this. Any successful path would be a blend of singles/double/triples/home runs and some outs. (to maintain the baseball metaphor). Winning is a mix of small and big hits along with some misses. I think this perspective is really important for Product Managers and Product Leaders to understand and balance out in their initiatives. It's no coincidence that in. baseball, the home run kings also are the ones who strike out the most.
