Given that every movie is an independent PROJECT, funded differently, staffed differently, shot usually in different places, with different characters/actors etc, this makes sense. That's how projects work.

Also have you ever counted the number of people - the TOTAL # of people - that make a film? i.e. all the names in the credits? It's MANY 100s if not in the low 1000s.

Of course it's different. They stay together until the movie is done (more or less) and then disband. This is very different in SO MANY ways than tech.
