Financial cost (i.e. price) comes on an invoice, but other costs, time, effort, reputation risk etc. aren't always translated into exact $. Value IS subjective. The V=B-C is not an arithmetic equation. At least I don't see it that way. It is an expression to state the relationship of the 3 terms.
